Lullkin

A tiny pixel creature that hangs out at the edge of your screen.

Own your very own Kin! it walks around the border of your monitor, chases and steals your cursor if it's feeling cheeky. Every now and then it wanders off-screen for a bit and comes with something it found. It's a desktop toy, and as much of a game as you'd like! Grow a bond between your little animal doing its own thing while you work, or get involved with interactive gamemodes with your Kin.

The window is transparent and click-through, so it sits on top of everything without blocking anything underneath. Close it when if you've had enough of your Kin :( The application saves between sessions.

If you want to -

• Pick it up and toss it around. It's fine with that
• View your findings. Tap ` (backtick/tilde) to open a little book of the things it's brought back. Drag stuff back into the world and it'll play with it.
• Survive in Tower Defense, earn gold and rarity-based loot chests for surviving progressively harder waves of enemies!
• Go Idle! Have your Kin mine, chop, or fish, while you do real life computer stuff
• Go Gardening! purchase seeds and grow your own garden, selling, cooking, and/or feed your kin in Tower Defense with your harvested crops.
• Make your Kin Stronger! Increase your kins stats when it levels up, by assigning stat points. Or don't, toggle xp popups off in settings. Settings allows customization for how'd like to experience your kin's company with systems like this
• feed your Kin your caught fish or crop harvests that you cooked or found to heal against enemies in Tower Defense

 For automatic updates, and no mac install headache, install and launch via the itch.io app. Newest version: 0.18.9

Controls

• Click and drag to pick up your Kin and other interactables
• WASD in Tower defense to move
• ` (backtick/tilde) opens/closes Info UI
• Right-click a world item to send it back to inventory
• Platforms: Windows  ·  macOS
• Progress is saved locally on your device, launching a newer version of the app will preserve all data from previously played versions on that same device.
